Jamaican Children's Speech and Language Skills
Research
in the PedLLS Outcomes Lab extends
from Dr. Washington’s dissertation and postdoctoral work that was financially
supported at the federal and provincial levels in Canada and Australia. We
specialize in child outcomes using a bio-psycho-social theoretical model (e.g.,
the ICF-CY framework espoused by the World Health Organization). We focus on assessment
and intervention outcomes for different groups of at-risk preschoolers (and
their parents), including those who are multilingual and multicultural.
